Using iMovie to edit your video content

As one of the people who has only just been given a digital camera to use, I just wanted to post a note to say how easy its been for me to edit my pictures using iMovie and get them ready for uploading as a podcast. And believe me, you could do the same.

Using only a very small amount of direction from me, my pictures of guests interviewed as part of the recent Connecting South West event at the Watershed in Bristol, were soon on the web for all to see. It really is amazing how iMovie has changed the way we look at “home/project movies”. Now, with even more cinematic tools to offer, iMovie makes you very comfortable in the director’s chair. And the editor’s chair. And the special effects guy’s chair for that matter. iMovie is the fastest and easiest way I’ve come across to turn video content into an entertaining and interesting watch. I hope you like what you see?

If you have an interesting story to tell about how the digital world has or could change the way you live your life and like me are lucky enough to have access to a handycam or even a PD150 digital camera, then I urge you get “shooting” right away. Remember a basic editing programme such as iMovie is so easy to use, that no one could fail to come up with something worth watching. Good luck
