Knowle West Media Centre are looking for two enthusiastic and creative people to join the team to work on a new Carbon Makeover Project. This project aims to make the homes and lifestyles of one hundred or more local households low-carbon.

Project Coordinator (0.8 FTE)
£20,000 – £24,000 pro rata

You will drive the project forward through the set up and delivery phases, line managing the part-time worker post below and working in partnership with other KWMC staff, partners and members of the community. You will also take charge of budget maintenance, manage local events and experiences and make links to other Bristol and local events.

Community Campaigns Workers (0.5 FTE)
£14,000 – £16,000 pro rata

You will recruit and support a few local people to devise and implement community campaigns to support the project. Also working closely with the Project Coordinator, you will provide participant householders and members of the community with events and experiences that link these ten campaigns to the overall carbon reduction of homes and lifestyles.

You won’t need a background in media projects or environmental work, but you will need a keen interest and some knowledge of the issues surrounding climate change and behaviour change. An enthusiasm for using media to communicate social and environmental messages is key. Both posts will require some evening and weekend work.
