by Kevin on January 10, 2008 · View Comments

The availability of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) is an attractive proposition for the Voluntary Sector. FOSS can potentially provide less expensive, easier to maintain, more extensible, more secure implementations of software than proprietary alternatives. If you want to explore the options and issues around deploying FOSS in your Voluntary Sector organization register for the Social Source South West Conference.

Format: There will be talks, workshops, demonstrations and informal networking opportunities.

Venue: St Werburghs Community Centre, Horley Road, Bristol, Bristol, BS2 9TJ

Date: Tuesday 5th February 10am to 4pm

Sponsors : SW ICT IDP Sub Group, SW ICT Local Champion, ICT Hub & Bristol Wireless
