It makes business processes more efficent, has the potential to reduce the amount of paper we use, and enables flexible working and video conference which cuts down on the CO2 emissions associated with travel.
However Socitim recently reported that, according to Gartner’s analysis, the ICT industry accounts for 2% of global CO2 emissions. This is the same amount as the airline industry. The Green PC Blog has gathered together an excellent resource of information and tips demonstrating positive actions that we can take personally, and as organisations.
