When planning the network, consideration was given to the expansion and from previous EU funded projects a further backbone spur exists running through Bedminster across to Easton where Bristol Wireless have an established wi-fi network.

The mesh router trial will inform a business model and intends to be an exemplar for a wider scale roll out – so watch this space !

Sounds like a great plan – would be nice to extend the network all the way down through Bedminster and Redcliffe to the city centre some day ..
