Bristol City Council launches 37 Wi-Fi hotspots and a Recycled Computer Scheme to help Residents get online

ePetition gathers support

An online petition advocating the development of a Stadium in the City has topped 10,000 internet signatures. Once paper signatures have been factored in, the proposal has over 17,000 supporters. An opposing petition is also gathering support for an alternative proposal to grant Village/Town Green status to the Ashton Vale Fields area.

Connecting our community buildings

Superfast surfing in Cornwall

Next generation broadband is on its way to Cornwall. The project, expected to cost around £140 million, will provide  state of the art connectivity to 90% of the Counties homes and businesses by 2014. The work has been jointly funded by the European Regional Development Fund and BT.
