“There are a number of controls in place to mitigate against excessive noise.  In the Temporary Uses Local Development Order for the site there are conditions to minimise noise and light nuisance. Please see http://www.bristol.gov.uk/page... for more details. In addition, Creative Common have consulted with BCC pollution control, BCC health and safety, the police and Trading Standards. They have also been working with an independent sound consultant in order to minimise any sound pollution.  However, this is to focus on only one aspect of the creative common project.  The project is about temporary use of space and it is intended to animate the area over a relatively short time. As well as events, the area will host a temporary restaurant, workspace and retail units.  Over the long term, there will be benefits for both local residents and businesses as we see developments unlock  in the area with improved transport, digital infrastructure, an improved station and better facilities and services and in turn creating more employment and business start up opportunities.”
