Bristol’s own Wallace and Gromit are at the forefront of the annual Intellectual Property Office competition encouraging young people to invent gizmo’s or gadget’s.

Through the competition 12 regional finalists in different age-groups will be named Britain’s youngest innovators, from which three national winners will be crowned Cracking Ideas champions for 2013.

The young inventors must construct a special Moon Bug lunar contraption and then demonstrate how to protect their creativity using patents, trade marks, design and copyright.

You can find out more about the competition and download an entry form at the Cracking Ideas website.
