Bristol Youth Links is the umbrella brand for a suite of integrated youth and play services, delivered outside of formal education, for children and young people aged 8–19 years (and up to 24 years for those with learning difficulties).
Bristol Youth Links want to bring together digital innovators and youth and play experts to create a ground-breaking Virtual Youth Service. The Virtual Youth Service is not just about a website, it will be a high quality, young people centred, user-friendly and accessible service. Children and young people will, among other things, be able to access personalised advice. This service will be the first of its kind in the UK and the contract is worth £1m (over five years).
Bristol City Council will be holding a Market Development Event on Thursday 9 August between 2–5 pm to;
- Inform potential partners about the current thinking for requirements for this service and provide an opportunity to contribute to shaping these
- Facilitate a networking opportunity to enable collaborative working
- Present an opportunity for potential providers to ask young people what they want from a virtual youth service
If you would like to attend you should register by 4pm on 31 July by contacting Nikki Davey on 0117 922 4931, or emailing nikki.davey@bristol.gov.uk.
