iNets Funding Competition for South West based Microelectronics SME’s launches

The Microelectronics iNet has launched an innovation competition for South West based businesses. The competition is open to SMEs in all industry sectors and will unlock up to £5,000 support to enable external expertise to allow businesses to innovate, develop and grow.

The core themes for this iNet are;

  • Microelectronics
  • Digital Communications
  • Photonics

and projects in the following areas are expected (other areas may be supported too);

  • Power management, and energy efficient sustainable technology
  • Smart grids
  • Transport, including marine
  • Healthcare, wellbeing and medical electronics
  • Smart communities
  • Test and verification
  • Industrial, instrumentation
  • M2M communications
  • Security

The competition will open from 1 October 2012 and run until 28 November 2012. You can download your application pack from the iNets site.
