Jon Z Bentley, (Partner, Innovation, Energy & Environment and Leader, Smarter Energy, IBM Global Business Services UK & Ireland) will address the characteristics and constituent parts of a smart grid and offer a definition of what should – and should not – be considered.
The lecture will explore the role of smart grids in our future society, the drivers for adopting the technologies, the benefits anticipated and the challenges in realising these.
The event is part of the Colston Research Society Symposia 2012 and is free to attend, but places must be booked in advance online.
