Government reforms to welfare and benefits over the next 12 months will have a major impact on the advice and support needs of Bristol residents.

Bristol City Council, Voscur, and Advice Centres for Avon are running a round table event for all organisations and agencies working with people who may be affected by the changes.

Come and join the discussion about how we can collectively respond to the challenges of welfare reform.

Current themes for the event include:

  • Housing (including homelessness and preventing homelessness);
  • Debt advice and financial inclusion;
  • Welfare advice;
  • Digital inclusion (access to IT and skills to use it);
  • Skills and employment
  • We’re also open to adding new themes as people sign up

Agenda for the session:
1.00-1.30: Registration and refreshments
1.30-1.45: Introduction and welcome. Summary of welfare changes and impact
1.45-3.30: Focused round-table discussion (including coffee break). Actions and taking things forward
3.30-4.00: Feedback and close
4.00-4.30: Time for networking

Places are limited to one place per organization in the first instance – register now at: www.voscur.org/content/welfare-reform-preparing-change or contact Emily on 0117 909 9949 with any questions.
