Avon and Somerset Constabulary

The Avon and Somerset Constabulary run a number of innovative interative services for web and phone:
Kiosks
The pioneering police kiosk service provides a live access point to police information and services through a simple touch screen interface which is housed in a distinctive kiosk casing. The kiosk services are available in two ways: through stand-alone access points, and secondly in the numerous I-Plus public access points throughout the city, funded by Bristol City Council.
Webchat

Webchat topics have included Neighbourhood Policing, opportunties to talk to the Chief Constable and Chief superintendent, Firework misuse and anti-social behaviour and advice for Glastonbury festival goers.
Mobile phone (WAP) service
The police’s online services can also be accessed via a mobile WAP site (wap.avonandsomerset.police.uk). Infomation available includes the latest news bulletins, traffic updates and a search facility for the nearest police station.
