Schools for the Future

Building Schools for the Future is the biggest single government investment in improving school buildings for over 50 years and Bristol is leading the country as a pathfinder authority planning radical improvements to the quality of education in the city through information technology.
Bristol already has three City learning Centres (CLCs) that provide schools with innovative and motivational activities to encourage the creative use of the latest technologies and help deliver the national curriculum. The CLCs are involved in a wide range of educational projects and make available unusual resources for schools including robots to teach programming, data logging equipment to monitor light, temperature and sound and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) for handheld learning projects in science and geography.
