DC10 Project Management Consultancy - Community Capacity

We are looking for an effective people connector with a firm standing in Community and Voluntary (CVS) work. You should be well organised and with an understanding of how IT can enhance service delivery. The project will identify successful networks and services in 6 Local Authorities: Birmingham, Bristol, Ealing, Norfolk, Shropshire and Sunderland which aim to increase the capacity to access and deliver services on a local level through networks of volunteers and organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual consultant to build up the profile and influence of the recently founded DC10 group, of which Connecting Bristol is an active member.
DC10 are a group of 10 Local Authorities aiming to embed digital inclusion in local and national mainstream thinking. DC10 emerged as a group after reaching the Digital Challenge final, which was run by the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) with support from the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR), the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and the Environmental and Health Sector.

Arnolfini, Watershed and the Cube Cinema connect for digital project
June 1, 2007 Posted by Sam in : Digital Challenge , add a commentBristol Wireless is involved in a project called XtreamLab along with Psand, Micro-Film and the Venn Festival.
There will be Live streams across the city of Bristol using the infrastructure of Bristol Wireless to send live high-quality video from the Arnolfini to the Cube (Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd) and from the Cube to the Croft (Saturday 2nd).

This is all made possible with BW’s network and a temporary wireless link between the Arnolfini and Watershed.
