Connecting South West Conference

Connecting the South West - Harnessing Digital Disruption
On 1 November 2006, the Connecting the South West conference took place at Watershed. You can also view all of the comments and posts on the conference here.

Using Personal Response Systems or hand-held voting systems, we were able to poll the audience to discover that 40% of attendees were from outside of Bristol and that 52% had walked or taken public transport to the conference.

They also had opportunities to participate in Speakalascope - an interactive video installation asking what technology people can’t live without - and to contribute to our video vox pops:

The conference was split into four workshops who were asked to come up with a list of the top priorities for their areas. These were then taken back to the main group and voted on using Personal Response Systems. The workshop themes, the priorities identified and how they were ranked can be seen below:
