Connecting our community buildings

World-class connectivity

As part of Connecting Bristol’s contribution to the City’s 20:20 strategy, we are working towards creating free-to-use Wi-Fi hotspots in community buildings, which will run over the council’s fibre network – BNet.

Wi-Fi will be available in at least 30 council, library and community buildings by September, enabling more people to get on line. A printed and online map will show locations of the hotspots.

A further phase will include community centres, sheltered housing and a pilot in partnership with the NHS to provide Wi-Fi for public and staff use in two health locations within the city.
