COVID-19 recovery: digital innovation funds for regional businesses and local government

As the UK’s focus moves to COVID-19 recovery, funds are launching to support businesses and local authorities in their response. Two such funds with a focus on digital innovation are the UWE Bristol Digital Innovation Fund and The Local Digital C-19 Challenge. Application deadlines are tight so act now!

UWE Bristol Digital Innovation Fund

UWE Bristol has launched a COVID-19 recovery fund for businesses looking to find digital solutions and innovate in response to Covid-19.

Businesses innovation grants of up to £40,000 are available to fund 35% of project costs.

Businesses can represent any sector within the Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire region.

The Local Digital C-19 Challenge

MHCLG’s Local Digital Collaboration Unit is funding data and digital projects to support COVID-19 recovery across local government.

Funding up to £80,000 is available for local authorities in England, with a requirement to deliver a product or outcome directly related to a COVID-19 challenge within 2 months.
