A new study from University of Bristol’s Department of Computer Science is currently looking for participants to use an Amazon Echo Show (which they get to keep). The study is exploring how voice assistants could help people who are isolated and have support needs.

The researchers are looking for households in and around the Bristol area who are socially isolated or are isolating due to the COVID-19 outbreak.  The study will run for 12 months. Households should include 1 resident (55+) and at least 1 other resident, guest, visitor or clinician (aged 18+) to be eligible to take part.

If interested, you will be taking part in up to five, one hour interviews either over the phone or through the Amazon Echo Show device and you will be asked to fill in a set of surveys.

For taking part you will be given an Amazon Echo Show device to use during the study. Once the study is complete, the device will be yours to keep!
