Knowle West Media Centre has been awarded £23,965 from the NatWest Skills & Opportunities Fund to support groups who are currently under-represented in enterprise to develop the skills and knowledge to explore self-employment through creativity and making. The Centre will use their making and training space KWMC: The Factory to work with at least 120 people, particularly young people, women and residents from Knowle West, Hartcliffe and Withywood – areas that have recently experienced challenge and deprivation – over an 18-month period.

KWMC, which celebrates it’s 20th birthday this year, is one of three South West organisations selected for this funding and the only Bristol-based organisation to have made the shortlist.
