Bristol City Council is seeking to procure a permanent City Open Data solution, having trialled the use of an Open Data Platform following the city’s success as runner-up in Innovate UK’s Future City Demonstrator competition in 2013.

The supplier engagement session will take place at Armada House in central Bristol, 2pm to 4pm, Thursday 12th May. Those wishing to attend must book via Eventbrite.

Open Data is central to Bristol City Council’s approach to innovation and digital transformation. Due to the complex nature of their needs, and the fast-moving nature of the field, the council is seeking to engage with the market in advance of the formal tender process. The council anticipates that this initial conversation with the market will enable them to draft a specification which reflects their ambition and will best enable them to deliver successful outcomes.

The expected audience for this event is those companies and individuals that work within the sector from which Bristol City Council intend to procure a solution. The session will be a great opportunity to hear more about Bristol City Councils plans, and discuss them with some of the officers leading on the procurement and application of the platform.
