Pete Fern from Bristol Wireless, a social enterprise, was first up on the podium to speak about interconnectivity and community cohesion, focusing on the communities that are on the fixed wireless network: Easton Community Centre, where Bristol Wireless started, St Werbergs, The Trinity Centre, Hamilton House and the Cube Microplex here at the Watershed.

Chris Pickering from Future Learning CIC spoke about how Knowle West Web has set up a local network and engages in community building activities such as recycling computers and offering training.

Matt Hamilton from Netsight updated the delegates on the work done by Bristol Broadband Media Exchange, a not-for-profit consortium that connects media companies within the Bristol area.
